Workshop at Ruhuna University

A two day workshop on; "Current Status and Future Trends in Thin Film Solar PV Technology" was co-organized by the Department of Physics, University of Ruhuna, NSF and Sivananthan Laboratories, USA and was held on 19th to 21st March 2013 at the Physics auditorium at University of Ruhuna.

Prof. Sivananthan's Achievement

Prof. Sivalingam Sivananthan, a UIC (University of Illinois at Chicago) alumnus, Distinguished Professor and Director of the MPL (Microphysics Laboratory) at the Department of Physics at UIC was recognized as a "Champion of Change" at a special event held on 29.05.2013 at the Whitehouse.

Another successful outcome of the Global Forum

Applications are called for the M.Sc. Course in Regenerative Medicine conducted by the Human Genetics Unit, Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo in collaboration with the Manipal Institute of Regenerative Medicine (MIRM), Manipal University, Bangalore, India under an agreement signed between the two universities. This was initiated at the Global Forum of Sri Lankan Scientists held in 2011.
