The Virtual Global Forum of Sri Lankan Scientists
The Global Forum for Sri Lankan Scientists was a successful event that for three days in December, 2011 brought together 400+ participants representing Sri Lankan scientists, innovators and business from both local and abroad to discuss innovation and the development of Sri Lanka on various cutting-edge themes such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, food & water security, green energy, natural resources, ICT and advanced manufacturing. As many of the participants were resident in other countries, we have created avenues to continue this collaboration virtually and forums organized according to these clusters to provide continuity to the ideas and to help work towards some actions and hopefully outcomes for Sri Lanka through such global collaboration.
